Oracle has answered this call with their offering of OBI-EE. A feature called ‘Write-Back’ allows you to change the data on the report and in real time see the affects of the change; all this without affecting your ‘real’ source data. Multiple users can access the same report at the same time and can change values to have their own ‘What-If’ analysis. |

| Don Legere / Carl Rubin International Registries / Monument Data Solutions LLC | Release 12 Oracle Financials and the New Functionality With Release 12 of the applications, Sets of Books are no longer part of Oracle Ledger. There are now Ledgers, Ledger Sets, Primary and Secondary Ledgers, and the Accounting Setup Manager. When upgrading, decisions need to be made on how the old Sets of Books and Organizations are migrated. On Payables, the Supplier Table is no longer in the system and has been replaced with the Party Table and structure. Also, Payment Batches is retired and Oracle Payments is its replacement. On Receivables, the use of Accounts under Customers (Parties) is fully implemented. For all Financials, Banks and Bank Accounts are now centralized and become Parties in the TCA structure. This session will discuss all of these and other new features and functions with Release 12 Oracle Financials. |

As the number of databases increases, so does the number of locations containing sensitive data such as employee, payment or financial records. Without an automated solution, it is difficult to protect all of this sensitive information while simultaneously enabling necessary access in non-production environments.
